1992 Charles A. Guinta

REASON FOR AWARD

Charles A. Guinta was awarded the Citizen of the Year for his dedication to improving interfaith relations and the general welfare of the community through a variety of services. He was a trustee of the Ferguson Library; Director of the Stamford Partnership which allows corporate and civic leaders to collaborate on improving community life .

BIOGRAPHY

Mr. Guinta is a life-long resident of Stamford. He attended the Stamford Public Schools and served as a combat soldier in World War II. After the war, he worked for Waldenbooks until his retirement in 1990 as a Senior Vice-President.
