Wayne L. Tyson was named Stamford Citizen of the Year in 1981 for his work to create affordable housing in Stamford.

BIOGRAPHY

Wayne L. Tyson has long been an advocate for the common good. He support his employer, Clairol’s contribution to the Capitol Housing Corporation. He also has served on the New Neighborhoods board. The group funds low income housing in Faifield County. In 1977, he battled the then Charter Revision Committee of Stamford to open their meetings and decision-making to the public.
